n health Helping Fight Cancer (NAPSA)—New technologies have improved the screening process for colorectal cancer, helping doctors identify the disease at its earliest and most treatable stages. Still, almost 150,000 Americans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year alone. Now a new booklet may help provide support, education and hope for many of these people and their caregivers. Called “Frankly Speaking About Colorectal Cancer,” it provides information on: The most current colorectal treatments Symptom/side-effect manage- ment strategies The social and emotional challenges of the diagnosis Survivorship issues specific to people with colorectal cancer. The booklet is offered by The Wellness Community, in partnership with the Colorectal Cancer Coalition.
