Straker says going on a job interview is a little like getting ready for a date. She shares four easy tips from courting your dream career to sealing the deal for your dream job: 1. Get People To Set You Up. It’s not just what you know, but whom you know. As in dating, your friends or family may be able to “set you up” with the prefect employer’s—don’t be afraid to ask. 2. Dress The Part. Know the style of the company with which you’re interviewing and tailor your look to match. An interview at a children’s television network, for instance, needs a very different look from one at a news magazine. 3. The Thrill Of The Chase. Just as in dating, you must appear confident and capable.
