Employment Expected To Grow In Construction (NAPSA)—Here’s a fact that could be written in cement. Construction is and always has been one of the nation’s leading industries and the backboneof the U.S. economy. Construction is growing at a pace requiring 240,000 positions to be filled every year to keep up with the industry’s growth and demands. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that from 2002-2012, the industry will create more than one million new jobs, making it the only goods-producing industry sector in which employment is expected to grow in those 10 years.
