Ethanol Fuels New Opportunity For American Farmers

(NAPSA)—Asthe United States seeks ways to becomeless dependent on foreign oil, American farmers are helping provide part of the solution. They are growing high-fermentable corn hybrids used in the production of ethanol. In 2005, the ethanol industry processed a record 13 percent of the domestic corn crop, according to the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA). It is projected by ProExporter Network that ethanol production could account for 45 percent of U.S. corn production by the year 2015. One wayfor farmersto participate in this new market opportunity is by growing Monsanto’s Processor Preferred High Fermentable Corn hybrids.
